I was recently quoted in a piece in Seven Fifty Daily about screw cap wines and I feel inspired to speak further to it.
Much like there is good and bad wine made everywhere, there are high and low quality wines bottled under screw cap AND bottled under cork. The type of closure has absolutely nothing to do with quality and everything to do with the winemakers intentions for the wine.
The stigma is that wines bottled under screw cap couldn’t possibly be high quality. This is not true at all.
